This Friday may be in most people’s diaries as the Royal Wedding, but a few faces in Northampton have this date pencilled in for a completely different reason! A group of like minded DJ’s and club promoters in Northampton have decided to host a daytime clubbing event called Gamaluku, with all the door and bar profits being raised to aid the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.
Held at Fever Nightclub, 63 Horseshoe St, Northampton, this event will see ten of the most up and coming DJ’s in the UK provide the soundtrack for what should prove to be a truly spectacular day party in the heart of the Midlands. Plus everyone that makes a donation will receive a free weekly pass for the TopNotch Northampton gymnasium, which is opposite the club at Sol Central.
DJ’s on the night include –
- James Mozolewski
- Si Heslin
- So Deaf!
- Ryan James
- Dan Hill
- Damien Skelton
- Connor Hillery
and of course the mighty CV Project, who are also co-promoting the event. Locals boys turned good, CV Project have really turned up the heat in the last 12 months and can be found playing at some of the UK’s top venues alongside some of the world’s greatest DJ’s. From Back to Basics in Leeds, Sankey’s in Manchester, Tripod in Dublin, all the way to Pacha in Ibiza this summer, the CV boys have certainly cranked it up a notch in terms of national exposure.
Sunglasses wearing member of the CV Project, Justin Vanezi, said –
Ben’s grandad passed away recently through cancer and a couple of years back one of the bouncers we worked with at a bar died of stomach cancer, so we have been wanting to raise money for Macmillan for a while. The Royal Wedding is just an excuse really, as we know people will be off work and partying then, so we hope we can attract more people and raise more money by holding it that day. Plus this is something a bit different from the usual celebrations so we hope that will attract people too.
Doors open at 3pm with the party going on till late, with all proceeds from the door and bar going to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity, who rely on the donations from supporters for 97% of their income. So if you’re in the area and are not that fussed about the Royal Wedding, why not head down to Fever for Gamaluku and show your support for the Macmillan health charity?
You never know, you might even see me on the dancefloor shouting ‘COME ON’ in the name of not just the future king of England, but also for charity. You can’t say fairer than that folks!
